The role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, performance-critical AI software and low-level system software programmes. This role requires deep technical engagement with engineering teams and customers to successfully deliver AI libraries, SDKs, and device drivers into production environments.

You will work closely with software engineers, technical leads, engineering managers, and programme leadership to drive projects from early definition through development, integration, release, and customer adoption. While this is a project management role, it requires strong technical fluency and confidence participating in technical discussions and decision-making.

You will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software-centric engineering programmes, including AI libraries, inference runtimes, SDKs, and device drivers.
• Plan, track, and deliver complex software workstreams across multiple platforms and operating systems.
• Coordinate timely technical decisions by bringing together experts across software, architecture, and product teams.
• Manage the full software lifecycle including development, integration, validation, performance optimisation, and release.
• Oversee OS-level and low-level software delivery including driver bring-up, integration, and API stability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks related to performance, scalability, and integration complexity.
• Create and maintain delivery plans aligned to quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
• Communicate status, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders.
• Protect teams from conflicting priorities and escalate issues where required.
• Engage with customers and partners to support successful integration and delivery.

You'll have:

• Significant experience managing low-level or systems software programmes such as AI libraries, SDKs, or device drivers.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to engage deeply with software engineers and architects.
• Proven delivery of performance-critical, high-quality software.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills.
• Experience with SafE, Agile or hybrid Agile/release-based development models.
• Confidence presenting to senior technical and business stakeholders.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong ownership.

You might also have:

• Experience delivering AI/ML software stacks such as inference libraries or runtimes.
• Device driver development and OS integration experience (Linux, Android, Windows, or RTOS).
• Familiarity with developer-facing APIs and SDK versioning.
• Automotive, safety-critical, or regulated software experience.
• Third-party or subcontractor management experience.
• Exposure to hardware-software co-development in IP or semiconductor environments.
