About the home/role:
Estia Health Brunswick West is a welcoming and modern aged care home located just 6km north of Melbourne’s CBD, in a well-connected inner-northern suburb. The area offers excellent public transport access, local cafes, and proximity to the lively Sydney Road precinct. The home itself is architecturally designed with a focus on comfort and community, featuring a Wellness Centre, landscaped outdoor spaces, a cappuccino café, hairdressing salon, and a range of bright, relaxing indoor lounges. With 24/7 care provided by dedicated nursing and support staff, Estia Health Brunswick West is a vibrant and supportive environment for both residents and team members.
We are currently looking for Casual Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) who have good availability across the week, including Monday to Sunday, to work a mix of morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
Shift times are:
AM: 7.00am to 3.00pm
PM: 3.00pm to 10.00pm
Every individual in our homes has a story. You’ll get to know each one as you:
- Lend a hand with daily life – making sure our residents feel heard, comfy and well-fed.
- Work with our team to support those with challenging needs.
- Help keep our residents’ bodies and minds active.
- Keep tabs on our residents’ health – helping with treatments
- Be a friend to our residents.
- Make sure every resident’s privacy and dignity is respected.
You’ll be a true team player and great communicator, with:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a PCA within Aged Care
- Ability to provide high-quality, person-centred care with empathy and respect
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons/evenings across weekdays and weekends
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting residents' daily living needs
- Understanding of safe work practices, manual handling, and infection control procedures
