About the role
Estia Health Kangaroo Flat is located in the heart of Bendigo in regional Victoria, approximately 150km north west of Melbourne.
PLEASE NOTE: as this role is not based in metropolitan Melbourne, applicants will need to live locally or be willing to relocate.

With beautifully landscaped gardens, spacious common areas, and a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care, Estia Health Kangaroo Flat provides a supportive environment for both residents and staff alike.
We are seeking an experienced Care Director to work full time. Reporting into the head of the home, known as the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM), you’ll draw on your clinical background to improve every aspect of our residents’ wellbeing. As second in command, you’ll:
- Be responsible for the assessment , planning and evaluation of resident care, whilst nurturing a partnership with family members to ensure provision of safe, quality care
- Promote a positive learning environment to grow the capability and knowledge of our next generation of carers and nurses.
- Oversee clinical governance via a process of quality improvement , auditing and reporting
- Monitor availability and provision of clinical resources
- Develop clinical care programs, making them the best they can be.
- Support financial management of the home.
You’ll be an honest and ethical leader, with a hunger to learn and challenge yourself. You’ll also have:
- At least 3 years in a clinical leadership role, and within a large aged care home
- A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
- Qualifications as a registered nurse and current AHPRA registration
- Experience in managing people and budgets
- Prior experience in clinical management in aged care
