Position Summary
Applicants with a strong background in applied electrochemistry, environmental process engineering, and material science are strongly encouraged to apply. In addition to independent research activities, the postdoc will assist with project management, coordinate project teams, prepare manuscripts and proposals, and mentor graduate students. The initial appointment is for one year with possible renewal upon mutual work satisfaction and funding availability.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field
Minimum Requirements
• Ph.D. in relevant science and engineering fields;
• Good oral and written communication skills, team spirit, and experience in publishing peer-reviewed papers;
• A minimum of three years of prior postdoctoral or equivalent research experience is required.
Desired Qualifications
• A good knowledge of electrocatalysis, process engineering, and aquatic chemistry;
• Extensive experience in electrochemical system development and operation (e.g., stationary and rotating electrode systems), electrochemical analysis techniques (e.g., voltammetry, amperometry, and EIS), X-ray characterization techniques (e.g., SEM-EDX, XRD, and XPS), and water quality analysis (e.g., IC, ICP-MS, and HPLC).
