Unit Position Summary
The Komaromy lab at MSU CVM is seeking a research tech to assist in research projects studying the impact of genes on glaucoma.
The candidate will oversee a research project that will monitor ADAMTS17 and ADAMTS10 genes and the impact on dogs relating to degenerative eye diseases such as glaucoma.
• Animal handling and exams, including OCT, ERG and behavioral vision testing (35%)
• Running/coordinating laboratory tests such as histology, IHC, PCR, and SEQ (25%)
• Data analysis and review (20%)
• Writing papers and manuscripts for publication resulting from the data (20%)
Must have bachelor's in animal science, veterinary medicine, or related field with six (6) months experience as a laboratory technologist.
