City Presentation delivers a range of services that provide clean, well-presented public spaces in the Penrith Local Government Area. About the role
This position plays an important role as a first line Supervisor within the Public Spaces Maintenance Team. The position requires the occupant to plan, coordinate, supervise and deliver the activities of a designated work team as directed by the Field Supervisor. The activities will include maintenance and cleansing of the Public Spaces Service Areas as required. The position will require knowledge and use of Mobility application/device and future technology enhancements. The jobholder will also be required to work from any of Council's Depots. The position requires a commitment to ongoing training, flexibility and Multi-Skilling within the Public Spaces Maintenance area to develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate work
- Experience in planning and coordinating day to day activities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Public Spaces Maintenance
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
- Current Class C or MR driver licence
- Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles
Commencing salary: $67,619,00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
