About the role
As Senior Manager Heritage Programs, you will lead the delivery of State Heritage Register and World Heritage programs. You will help promote heritage awareness across the state to support and empower the community to value, celebrate and conserve their heritage and culture.
The role leads the implementation and evaluation of heritage programs to ensure that governance and project management meets customer expectations, achieves outcomes and objectives and comply with statutory requirements.
You will design and deliver programs that:
- support the community to identify, nominate and register potential items for the State Heritage Register
- empower owners and managers of heritage items to comply with legislative requirements, and
- promote the conservation the state's cultural objects and heritage sites.
About you
We are looking for an experienced strategic, relatable leader with a strong collaborative nature and operational acumen, to successfully lead a large team of project staff who work across different locations. You will be a highly skilled communicator and negotiator, who can effectively lead change and deliver high performance. You will have previous management experience, leading a multidisciplinary team with a focus on leadership, service delivery and efficiency.
You will have experience in delivering programs and projects to strict deadlines and have relevant experience in working within a statutory environment.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in heritage, archaeological site conservation or relevant field.
- Drivers Licence and ability to travel
