The role
The People and Culture team within the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) are seeking a Manager Leadership Development. This is more than a managerial role, it’s an opportunity to shape the leadership landscape across the Department and guide the leadership capability framework that directly enhances leadership effectiveness and helps them lead their teams towards their full potential.

As the Manager Leadership Development, you will spearhead progressive leadership development programs of work, driving accountable, outcome-focused growth within the organisation. Your expertise and guidance will play a transformative role that unlocks leadership potential amongst our people, helping DPHI to consistently deliver on its commitments to the people of NSW.

This position offers a dynamic environment where you will not only lead the charge in cultivating leadership excellence but also forge trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration that galvanises our people around DPHI’s collective purpose and values.

What you will bring to the role
Ideally, you bring experience as a proven specialist in leadership and organisational development at Executive, line, and aspiring leadership levels. Your background should inspire growth, with a track record of devising strategies that have elevated leadership bench strength within large organisations.

You have the skills to translate strategic objectives into fit-for purpose action, realising the intended benefits, while forging trusted senior stakeholder relationships. Your strategic acumen and deep experience of organisational and leadership development practices, allow you to realise initiatives aligned with our organisational goals and our core values.

Your leadership style empowers individuals, creating a culture of accountability within your team. You are an adept project leader, ensuring that initiatives are proficiently executed and deliver tangible, measurable outcomes.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in leadership, management or organisational psychology, organisational development, learning and development, adult education, and/or equivalent professional experience.
