Our Energy Operations branch is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager to join their team and lead safety, technical regulation and licensing for pipelines and gas networks in NSW. This is a dynamic leadership role where you will be responsible for driving strategic planning and operational excellence.
About the Role
As a leader and key technical expert, you'll lead a team of specialists to ensure the safety, integrity and reliability of critical infrastructure meets NSW Government's responsibilities under the Pipelines Act 1967, Gas Supply Act 1996, and Corrosion Protection Regulation 2020. You will oversee licensing, compliance, and enforcement and provide guidance and advice to the Minister of Energy and wider DCCEEW Executive team. Collaboration with policy makers will ensure that industry needs are considered in broader future fuels, energy security and emergency management initiatives.
Your role will involve building strong relationships with industry stakeholders and participating in government and industry committees to ensure consistency across the sector. You will advocate for safety and technical excellence, with a strong focus on customer needs to ensure compliance and protection for consumers.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven leader with strong expertise in safety and technical regulation. Ideally you will have a background from the Energy sector – within the pipeline or gas industries. You will have a proven track record in developing and executing operational plans with the ability to navigate regulatory changes and technological advances. Your inspirational leadership will ensure efficiency and compliance with robust safety standards and ensure best in class outcomes that directly benefit the vast communities of NSW.
