About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Officer to assist in the conservation and protection of national parks throughout NSW.

The Assistant Project Officer works as part of a team to provide environmental planning advice and support to National Parks and Wildlife Service staff.

This role will undertake a variety of tasks including liaison with staff and local councils, maintaining and updating records, providing staff with environmental planning information, and preparing written reports and advice.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in the provision of administrative and support services, including data analysis
  • A basic understanding of the NSW planning system.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and familiarity with issues relating to natural and cultural heritage protection, and environmental impact assessment.
