The role

As a Project Support Officer, you’ll be involved in supporting the development and delivery of Portfolio, Program and project management. Your role will include monitoring project plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure they align with approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You’ll update and collate documentation on relevant issues, policies, and practices, ensuring compliance with portfolio, program and project management methodologies. Effective communication with stakeholders to provide program and project status reports and address implementation issues will be crucial.

 

Managing multiple program and project support activities in a high-pressure, politically sensitive environment will be a key challenge. Building and maintaining strong relationships across divisions will be essential for effective coordination and achieving project objectives. Experience in finance and/or program/project management will be particularly valuable in ensuring projects are delivered within budget and meet financial targets.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members. 
  • Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. 
  • High level administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and competing demands. 
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. 
  • Experience in either Finance Management or Portfolio, Program and Project Management highly regarded

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of Portfolio, Program, and Project Management
  • Understanding of Program Evaluation
  • Proficient in Contemporary Program/Project Risk Management
  • Competent in Program/Project Financial Management
