If you are passionate about preserving and enhancing Sydney's urban parks and open spaces, we have a unique opportunity for you. Greater Sydney Parklands is a city-wide agency dedicated to the growth and preservation of parklands and is seeking a dedicated Contract Manager to join our team. As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operational asset maintenance program for our western portfolio of parklands.

The role
As Contract Manager, you’ll lead a team of Operations Coordinators to deliver diverse asset maintenance programs, ensuring our parklands are in optimum condition, with a focus on visitor experience, public safety and meeting community expectation. Your role will utilise contemporary strategies to deliver operational excellence, balancing various environmental, social, and heritage factors in the care of our iconic cultural landscapes and urban green spaces. You will provide team leadership, manage asset maintenance contracts, implement safety and sustainability protocols, and provide expert advice on asset management, all while aligning with strategic parkland and urban development goals.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in park, recreation, landscape, asset, property management or related discipline and/or relevant professional experience
  • Ability to be contacted and work outside of normal bandwidth hours and on weekends if required.
  • Current Driver’s license and the ability to travel to attend work at any site within the GSP portfolio as directed.
