About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Planning and Communities team is currently seeking to appoint 3 Senior Projects Communications Advisors to lead high-quality communications across the planning, delivery and construction phases of Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and key transmission infrastructure projects.
Working closely with project teams and the Community Engagement and Media team, you’ll develop and deliver multi-channel communications strategies, manage stakeholder engagement, respond to media enquiries and oversee the creation of public messaging and collateral. This role plays a vital part in supporting community awareness, media relations and government communications, with a strong focus on clear, inclusive, and proactive engagement. You’ll also contribute to digital content planning, social media management and innovative outreach initiatives that connect with regional communities and key industry audiences.

Occasional travel and work outside of core business hours may be required for stakeholder engagement and regional initiatives.

Three positions are available across three different projects. To learn about the project’s, visit the websites below.

About You
You are a confident and proactive communicator with a passion for the future of energy in NSW and a knack for thriving in fast-paced, high-impact environments where no two days are the same.
With experience in major infrastructure or energy projects (or a keen interest to dive in), you bring strong project team experience, sound judgment and the ability to prioritise tasks based on project demands and reputational risk. You’re a strategic thinker who can recommend creative, fit-for-purpose communications approaches and build strong networks across departments and with key external stakeholders.

Tech-savvy and comfortable crafting content for websites, social media, media packs, ministerials and media releases, including holding lines and Q&As, with an eye for detail and a clear, engaging style comes to mind when we think of our ideal candidates! You’re adaptable, deadline-driven, and stay composed under pressure. Flexibility is key, and you're open to working outside standard business hours when needed to attend and be available for certain business needs. Most of all, you bring energy, enthusiasm and a drive to help shape NSW’s renewable energy future.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, social media, public relations and/or equivalent experience.
  • Capacity and willingness to travel to regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends.
