- PO2 Salary relative to experience and ranges from $134,504 to $143,964 + super
The role
The Senior Planning Officer (Monitoring & Reporting) supports the Program Manager by leading projects and tasks associated with the design, implementation, and administration of frameworks, systems, and tools needed to monitor and report on the operation of the Housing & Productivity Contribution, measure benefits, and manage the program budget.
You will prepare rigorous analysis and compelling advice that provides insight and evidence-based decision making, draft clear, succinct and accurate briefings and well-structured reports on the operation of the HPC for the Minister and senior executive, prepare financial analysis, advice, and forecasts to inform investment decisions and program budgets, and contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of controls that ensure the smooth operation of the team and HPC system and compliance with relevant policies and legislation.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the principles of good data science and quantitative analysis to explain complex issues
- Proven ability to clearly and succinctly communicate research and analysis to a broad range of stakeholders and decision makers
- Previous experience in planning, prioritising and managing projects and delivering high quality self-directed results within agreed timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to build and apply knowledge in the planning and infrastructure contributions systems
Essential requirements
- Degree in economics, commerce, engineering, data science, statistics, or information systems
