  • Parramatta office location (3 days p/w onsite) with flexible working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $125,693 to $138,510 + super

 

At the heart of the New South Wales (NSW) planning system, the Planning Group takes centre stage. Driven by the NSW Government’s unwavering commitment to tackle the critical housing issue, we provide essential support and strategic guidance. The Planning Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Department's strategic planning, policy, rezoning, and infrastructure projects, all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live.

 

The role

 The Senior Open Space Stakeholder and Partnerships Manager will lead and support open space programs to role ensure alignment with organisational goals, oversee engagement strategies, and provide expert advice on stakeholder issues. The role fosters collaboration with state and local government agencies, and community organisations, integrating stakeholder interests into program planning to enhance impact.

You will prepare and draft high-quality written materials, including engagement strategies, advocacy plans, briefing documents, and reports, tailored to different audiences ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in all engagement strategies and overcoming participation barriers.

We have so many exciting projects for NSW including Places to Swim, Parks for People and the NSW Open Space Strategy where you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies and programs, build and sustain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including state agencies, local governments, and professional organisations, to support project delivery and advocacy of the value of public open space.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Strong skills in developing, implementing and analysing engagement strategies tailored to varied audiences and objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government policies, regulations, and legislative requirements relevant to open space management and planning.

 Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline
