About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer, Heavy Vehicle Operations to work within the Asset and Infrastructure team to contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
As Project Officer, you will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) policies and procedures across NPWS. You will support the practical implementation of the ongoing program deliverables including training, inductions, inspections and audits. There will be a requirement for a considerable amount of travel throughout NSW.
About You
Your passion for cultural heritage and the environment, coupled with a strong attention to detail and advanced proficiency in project management will be key to your success in this role. You’ll have experience in heavy vehicle operations and enjoy training people and sharing your expertise. You’ll be adept in providing high level specialist advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy and environmental objectives and other projects and priorities.
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
