  • The role is located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
  • Package includes salary ($145,378.00 to $168,130.00) and employer's contribution to superannuation. Onsite accommodation can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
  • Temporary full-time opportunity up to 30 June 2027 to work at a world heritage site at an idyllic location and play a pivotal role in the creation of life changing visitor experiences.

 

About the Role

At Jenolan Caves, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to drive project coordination; including project management and consultant meetings and where directed, supervise assigned staff and contractors

 

In the role you will

  • Managing a portfolio of projects including civil and other capital projects including refurbishment of historic Caves House.
  • Consultant engagement and oversight.
  • Cultivating collaborative partnerships across government agencies and private sector stakeholders.
  • Influencing outcomes by anticipating and resolving high level issues.
  • Building and supporting stakeholder engagement and where necessary translate negotiation outcomes into agreements, deeds or other legal documents
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning,
  • Effectively manage consultants and contractors including scoping, selection, procurement and appointment; to ensure the Contractor/s delivery is in accordance with approved project strategy and implementation plans
  • Deliver project objectives by building and leading a multi-disciplinary team including monitoring and reporting on performance.
  • Effectively co-ordinating and delivering on the responsibilities of JCRT under the conditions of contract and overarching deeds and inter-agency agreements.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced Project Manager / Principal Project Officer.

Your exceptional communication skills and ability to provide expert advice and guidance will be instrumental to operate in a high volume work environment with competing demands and tight deadlines.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, urban design, architecture and/or project management and/or significant relevant industry experience
  • Commercial expertise using a collaborative approach when negotiating complex contract and agreements that achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Proven track record working autonomously to achieve critical milestones while closely collaborating with team members to ensure best for project outcomes.
  • Experience in working on large infrastructure projects that have been constructed in a senior capacity.
  • Demonstrated hands on approach to implementing Projects with significant design or construction experience.
  • Proven track record in operational cost- management and adhering to controls and governance used to deliver successful outcomes.

The Visitor Use and Services Zone includes, but is not restricted to, Caves House, retail areas, kitchen areas, front office, staff and guest accommodation, walking tracks, maintenance areas and the Caves System.
