  • Clerk Grade 9/10 - salary relative to experience ($125,693 - $138,510 plus super)

 

Are you interested in working on new policies and reforms to help lower emissions, improve sustainability and make energy bills more affordable?

The Energy Consumers and Competition Policy Branch is looking to appoint a Senior Policy and Project Officer on a temporary basis. As part of the Gas Decarbonisation Policy and Strategic Engagement team, you will help create and develop consumer reform to support electrification.

This may include:

  • Researching and developing policy options to support vulnerable consumers to electrify,
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy development,
  • Drafting and editing policy documents such as briefing notes, cabinet submissions and options papers,
  • Leading junior team members to support their contribution to policy development

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and delivering government policy or reforms. This is a great secondment opportunity for a high performing 7/8 looking for a step up, or an existing 9/10 looking for an opportunity to lead and create solutions to some complex policy problems.
