  • Office location – Parramatta (other NSW locations will be considered)
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $145,378 to $168,130 + superannuation + leave loading

Our Chief Finance Officer is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Asset Policy and Strategy in this newly created role.

About the Role

The role is responsible for implementing, coordinating and managing the asset management policy framework and asset management assurance within the department, and assisting Portfolio agencies with these activities.

In this role you will:

  • Provide strategy advice on managing a multi-billion-dollar asset portfolio
  • Establish and coordinate the Departments asset management framework, compliant with government policy and regulation
  • Lead and coordinate INSW requirements and manage the day-to-day relationship with INSW
  • Support asset management capability uplift throughout the dept.
  • Coordinate asset management assurance activities
  • Integrate climate risk management and climate disclosures into capital planning processes (e.g AMPs and SAMPs) and strive to be a thought leader in the sector on climate related asset impacts.
  • Lead innovative thinking to optimise the Department Capital budget

 

About You

  • Strategic Asset Management & Financial Planning: Previous experience in public sector asset management and policy will be highly regarded but expertise in managing large-scale asset portfolios and optimising capital budgets is a must!
  • Policy & Regulatory Compliance: Deep understanding of asset management frameworks and assurance processes, preferably in the public service
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Strong relationship management skills, and ability to lead cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Climate Risk Integration: Ability to embed climate risk and disclosures into asset planning and drive sector-wide thought leadership.
  • Capability Uplift & Change Management: Experience in building asset management capability and leading organisational change.
  • Innovative & Analytical Thinking: Skilled in data-driven decision-making and developing forward-thinking asset strategies.
  • Experience in managing climate risk to assets will be highly regarded

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience
  • Valid driver's licence
