About the role
Ministerial Services Branch (MSB) is seeking a Ministerial Liaison Officer (MLO). The MLO manages and coordinates a consistent workflow of allocations to deliver high quality and timely briefing material and correspondence to the Minister’s office. The role requires the ability to prioritise requests, manage workloads and exercise sound judgement, as well as supporting effective communications between MSB and business areas across the Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and positive person to join a dedicated and high performing team.
About you
MLOs work in a high-volume environment with competing demands and tight deadlines, so strong organisational skills will be crucial to your success. You will have excellent communication skills. You will need to apply astute judgement and strong research and analytical skills in providing advice on potentially sensitive issues.
Nurturing and sustaining excellent relationships and working collaboratively with team members and colleagues across the Department, as well as other stakeholders across Government, is essential in delivering the results that will be expected of you.
