- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $91,673 to $101,957 + super
Our Assurance and Biodiversity Stewardship Branch team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Officer to carry out day-to-day tasks related to the coordination and delivery of regional conservation programs. This includes engaging with and supporting landholders to enter into biodiversity stewardship agreements.
The role undertakes a range of program management, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements. This role develops and maintains data and information systems and responds to customer and applicant enquiries.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have the ability to work in a high-volume working environment under guidance and direction, while exercising sound judgment to identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate specialist staff. In addition, you will also have capacity to review issues and provide practical or innovative recommendations to supervisors, in line with organisational policies and guidelines.
You will assist the project team to complete assessment tasks, track and monitor agreements, provide customer service, and support delivery team members. This will be through technical and administrative services, including coordination of meetings, and the preparation of briefs, reports and agreements. You will be competent working between several document management systems and have a dedication to thorough record keeping.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of natural resource management and planning for environmental issues, or related professional experience.
Essential requirements
- Current Driver’s License.
