We’re looking for an Internal Communications Advisor with a passion for driving outcomes through impactful employee engagement.

 

The role

In this role in our Communications and Marketing Division you’ll support the delivery of effective internal communications services to support change, engagement and employee cohesion.

The role requires a strong writer, a creative thinker and a problem solver, someone who can deliver quickly while always considering the wider context for our audiences.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the implementation of internal communications campaigns that align with organisational goals and enhance employee engagement across the Department.
  • Prepare internal communications content, including emails, intranet articles, newsletters, presentations, video scripts and storyboards, and speaking notes to support strategic, operational, and change programs.
  • Support virtual and in-person employee events, such as townhalls and team briefings, to foster inclusivity and a sense of community within the Department.
  • Prepare design briefs to guide the Creative Services team, ensuring internal communications collateral is visually compelling, brand-aligned, and supports key messaging objectives.
  • Assist in the management of the Department’s internal communications channels (e.g. broadcast email, enterprise social media, intranet), including content governance and design.

What you will bring to the role

Success in this role awaits if you:

  • Demonstrate strong technical communication skills and can confidently communicate with stakeholders.
  • Have a creative flare and desire to explore new ways to engage with employees that aligns with strategic intent.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in the way you deliver on projects and build relationships to continually improve the impact of communications.
  • Are highly organised and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with short notice and tight deadlines.
  • Are experienced with Microsoft communication tools while being on the lookout new technology that can make an impact.

 

Key knowledge and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, or a related field and/or demonstrated management experience in a similar position.
