- Salary ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 plus super
Our Data and Digital team is looking for an energetic and proactive Manager GIS Spatial to join and form the right capability in the IT Division at Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
About the role
The GIS Spatial Manager will establish and lead the delivery of high-quality geospatial data, systems, and services that support DCCEEW’s environmental, climate, and water management objectives. This foundational role oversees the supply of the right enterprise GIS infrastructure, spatial data governance, and the development of tools that improve data quality, streamline operations, and enhance user experience. You will form and manage a high-performing team, drive innovation in spatial data solutions, and collaborate across government and external partners to deliver impactful outcomes across the DCCEEW Portfolio.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be:

experienced GIS leader with strong technical skills in enterprise ArcGIS, spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS/PostgreSQL), and automation tools

with a background in spatial data governance and team leadership, you excel at delivering strategic solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
-
proactive, collaborative, and committed to using geospatial insights to support environmental and climate priorities
