We are excited to announce this opportunity within our Planning Land Use Strategy Housing & Infrastructure (PLUSHI) division. 

 

The Role 

Our Finance Manager is responsible for leading the ongoing improvements to finance systems, processes, and capabilities throughout the Planning group. By fostering knowledge sharing and elevating the team’s digital and analytical skills, the role works closely with business units across the division to drive innovation and boost efficiency, ultimately empowering strategic decision-making.

You will lead the design and implementation of finance process improvements, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirements, campion the adoption of AI and automation tools to streamline reporting, forecasting, and transactional processes and provide performance reporting and high-level critical analysis and specialist advice on financial results, divisional initiatives, projects and related issues.

 

You will bring

  • Advanced excel skills and experience working with accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, business process improvement, or systems implementation within a large corporate or government environment.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial operations, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in AI, automation, and digital tools (e.g., Power BI, machine learning, or large language models).

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary degree in accounting, business, technology or commerce

Non- essential requirements 

  • Qualified Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accounting, or working towards these qualifications
