The role
In this role, you’ll take the lead in identifying and pursuing strategic business opportunities that drive growth for the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility. You’ll be responsible for building and nurturing strong client relationships, developing innovative solutions, and directly contributing to the financial sustainability and commercial success of advanced manufacturing in NSW. Your work will help position the organisation at the forefront of a progressive and rapidly evolving sector.
You’ll play a pivotal role in raising awareness about AMRF’s cutting-edge capabilities, negotiating win-win deals, and managing diverse stakeholder interests in a fast-moving tech environment. Your day-to-day will see you partnering with customers, analysing markets, and closing deals that matter—supported by a team that values fresh ideas and open communication.

What you will bring to the role
- Proven success in a new business development role in a competitive market, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing space selling services though candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply!
- Sound understanding of the business development and investment process
- Understanding of financial reports and key factors driving economic growth
- Resilience and a positive attitude to persevere through obstacles and maintain productivity during challenging times.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate and present solutions, ideas and recommendations.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications in business / economics / engineering or relevant degree and/or equivalent professional experience
- Current NSW Driver Licence and ability to travel across NSW and interstate where required

The Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF) is a private subsidiary corporation owned by the Bradfield Development Authority that is central to the economic development strategy underpinning Bradfield City Centre. It will play an important role in supporting the manufacturing sector, creating more high value jobs and leveraging the $20 billion worth of the Government infrastructure in the Aerotropolis.
The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is building a stronger future for Western Sydney by delivering Bradfield City Centre and attracting investment to the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.
