  • Salary range from $149,739 to $173,174 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our Organisational and Effectiveness and Culture team is seeking a Manager Business Intelligence to play a pivotal role in shaping EnergyCo’s workforce intelligence and decision-making capability. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of innovative analytics, dashboards and reporting frameworks that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. Your expertise will directly support the Board, executives and people leaders in workforce planning, performance monitoring, financial forecasting and project delivery. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll drive business improvement initiatives, streamline processes and embed data-driven solutions that enhance organisational capability, improve employee experience and deliver on government and agency priorities.

About You
You are a highly skilled analyst with a proven ability to transform complex workforce data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making. You have expertise in;

  • Navigating ambiguity - solving cross-functional business problems using incomplete or inconsistent datasets to deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Workforce analytics - supporting strategic workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, organisational development and compliance, making you a trusted partner in enabling EnergyCo priorities.
  • Power BI - data modelling for large/complex datasets, and performance tuning for enterprise-scale dashboards.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency.

You bring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical data in a way that resonates with Boards, Executives, People Leaders and non-technical audiences. Comfortable operating with autonomy and managing competing priorities, you ensuring your advice is accurate and reliable. With knowledge of processes, you balance attention to detail with a big-picture view, ensuring your work adds value across the organisation.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is affordable, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
