  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 + super

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a visionary Manager Platform Solutions to lead the strategic evolution of our digital platforms. This 12-month opportunity offers the chance to shape the future of public services through innovative technology and collaborative leadership.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the strategic direction of platform solutions aligned with departmental priorities.
  • Lead technical consulting and ensure architectural integrity across solution delivery.
  • Champion DevOps maturity and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to deliver scalable, sustainable digital outcomes.
  • Provide expert oversight and support for critical applications and services.

Essential requirements

  • Experience in system analysis and design including in requirements gathering and documenting functional requirements, understanding business requirements/process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in languages and tools relevant for the specific role:
  • XML, VB.NET, .NET, PHP, Java and Web Services
  • Strong MS-SQL database and TSQL knowledge, skills and experience including performance tuning of SQL queries both implicit and EF generated
  • SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language)
  • Apex – Salesforce’s proprietary programming language for backend logic.
  • JavaScript – Useful for customizing Salesforce Lightning components.
  •  HTML & CSS – For UI customization within Salesforce.
  •  Python or SQL – Often used for data manipulation and integration tasks
  •  Bitbucket, ANT, GearSet
  • Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence
  • Data Visualisation Tooling (PowerBI, QlikView etc)
