Join a team that’s driving strategic change across one of NSW’s most impactful government departments. As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in shaping how the Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure measures and improves its performance. The role sits within the Corporate Strategy & Performance team and is central to delivering high-quality planning and reporting frameworks that support better outcomes for communities across the state.

You’ll lead and support initiatives that align internal planning and reporting  with the NSW Performance and Wellbeing Framework, provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, and manage systems that ensure statutory reporting obligations are met. This is a dynamic opportunity to influence decision-making, enhance accountability, and contribute to continuous improvement in a large, multi-faceted organisation.

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects independently, with a focus on strategic planning and performance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience consulting across diverse teams and government agencies.
  • Ability to navigate competing priorities and communicate performance insights in a large, multi-faceted organisation.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for executive audiences.
  • Resilience and adaptability in managing change, ambiguity, and high-pressure situations.
  • A proactive and accountable approach to work, with a commitment to ethical standards and public sector values.
  • Experience applying project management principles and using data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
