The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a Manager, Procurement Systems to oversee the management and continuous improvement of our digital procurement platform. In this role, you will lead enhancements to the Source-to-Contract platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our procurement team and business units while aligning with key compliance standards, State Government directions and organisational goals.

 

You will be responsible for overseeing the development, configuration, and support of the platform, working closely with stakeholders across the department. Additionally, you’ll manage the use of the department's inbuilt SharePoint system, which supports collaboration, reporting, and procurement workflows. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a high-impact digital platform, improve operational efficiency, and make a tangible difference to how procurement processes are managed in the public sector.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience in managing or enhancing digital systems, with a strong focus on continuous improvement in user experience, system performance, issue resolution, risk identification and compliance.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and a demonstrated ability to apply technology to optimise sourcing and purchasing activities.
  • Experience using SharePoint or similar platforms to manage documents, workflows, and collaboration across teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure positive interactions with a diverse stakeholder group, understanding business requirements, and achieving buy-in for change initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and balance competing priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams through system transitions and process enhancements.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure system users are up to date with all enhancements and can maintain their skills in the source-to-contract system including through the use of newsletters, training sessions and presentations.
