About the role

As a Casual Catering Officer, you'll play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for clients participating in our diverse programs. Your key responsibilities will include catering to various dietary needs ensuring hygiene and quality control, managing stock, and maintaining kitchen safety standards.

About you

  • Ability to prepare and cook meals from raw ingredients, ensuring they meet hygiene, quantity, and quality standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory by rotating stock based on expiry dates, ordering supplies, and inspecting the quality of received goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and storage areas, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
  • Adapt meal preparation to suit various dietary needs, support flexible catering for program delivery, and meet strict mealtime schedules. 
  • Basic computer skills, and Food Safe Handling certificate (desirable)

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment. You will also need to arrange a Working with Children Check, at your own expense.
