- Classification: Clerk Grade 9/10 – salary relative to experience, and ranges from $125,693 - $138,510 plus super

About the Roles
The Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap is a strategic priority of NSW Government. The Energy Infrastructure division is recruiting two (2) Senior Policy & Projects Officers to provide strategic policy advice and lead critical projects on energy reliability and security and wholesale market reform.
Role 1:
As Senior Policy & Projects Officer in the Reliability and Security Projects team, you will provide strategic advice on government interventions to maintain a reliable and secure supply of electricity and leading on critical energy security and reliability projects. You will apply your knowledge of policy and commercial analysis to intervention design and implementation.
Role 2:
As Senior Policy & Projects Officer in the Wholesale Market Reform team, you will provide strategic policy advice and leadership of NSW reforms in response to wholesale electricity market settings and their impact on market participants. You will apply your interest in energy markets with strategic policy analysis to develop and implement strategic Roadmap reforms.

Within DCCEEW, Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability is the policy maker for energy reliability and affordability, climate change, and emissions reduction. The energy transition is already well underway in NSW. We already have enough projects to get us more than halfway to our 2030 renewable energy generation goal. Our challenge is to ensure an integrated, fair and enduring impact on the current and future residents of NSW.
About You

With your policy and program smarts you enjoy devising fit-for-purpose solutions to vexing problems. You enjoy being part of critical projects or have an active interest in financial and energy markets, analysing complex situations and preparing regulatory and commercial advice. You work collaboratively and with attention to detail to deliver high-profile policies and projects.
