  • Salary ranges from $109,102.00 to $120,542.00 + super + leave loading

 

Our Executive Support & Divisional Services team is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer in a permanent ongoing capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the science that informs climate change action, energy transition, environmental protection and water sustainability in NSW.

As a Project Officer, you will deliver high-quality project management and coordination services that ensure timely and effective outcomes. You will work closely with fellow team members and stakeholders across government to provide advice, prepare reports, and maintain corporate information, systems and processes to support initiatives that make a real difference for the people and environment of NSW.

 

About You

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable professional with strong project management and coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring sound judgement, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes. You are confident in engaging with stakeholders and can communicate complex information clearly.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Proven ability to plan, manage and deliver projects within scope, time and budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply a range of communication tools to convey clear messages and share information
  • Experience in analysing information and providing evidence-based advice to support decision-making
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • High level of resilience, adaptability and initiative to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Sound understanding of government processes and commitment to public sector values
