We are looking for an experienced Senior PEGA Application Developer to join the Corporate Services team at Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. In this ongoing, full-time role, you’ll work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to design, build, and maintain PEGA solutions for the NSW Planning Portal, that help deliver planning and development services across the state. Your work will contribute to stable, secure, and effective digital solutions that support communities, businesses, and government.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team where you can apply your technical skills to real-world challenges. The role involves balancing the need for timely delivery with maintaining high standards of quality and performance. You’ll play a key role in every stage of the development lifecycle. Working as part of the operations team you will provide Pega platform and development expertise in remediating defects and issues and implementing solutions for enhancements and permanent fixes.

What you will bring to the role
- Proven experience developing, integrating, and maintaining PEGA applications in complex, multi-system environments.
- Ability to balance rapid development with high standards of code quality and application performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills—able to analyse issues, anticipate challenges, and develop practical solutions for the Planning Portal.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Resilience and adaptability—comfortable working under pressure and responding quickly to change.
- Technical expertise in system integration, software design, and application support, with a commitment to continuous improvement
- A proactive, accountable approach—able to work autonomously, deliver results, and contribute to a culture of excellence.
