Are you interested in using data, analysis and evidence to inform planning decisions that shape communities and support housing supply across New South Wales? We’re looking for a Senior Property Analyst to generate insights that strengthen the evidence base for housing, land use and infrastructure planning.

About the role

The Senior Property Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and evidence-based insights to support strategic land use, infrastructure and housing planning outcomes. The role contributes to informed decision-making by strengthening the evidence base underpinning policy, planning and investment decisions, supporting the Department to achieve its objectives for housing supply, land use and sustainable growth across New South Wales.

Supporting the wider PLUSHI division, the role undertakes analysis and monitoring of housing supply, development activity and property market trends across New South Wales. This includes contributing to key projects such as housing supply pipeline audits, monitoring housing activity and completions, and preparing housing supply forecasts. The role also translates complex data and analysis into clear, accessible insights to inform planning, policy development and investment decisions across government.

You will bring expertise in development and application of quantitative techniques for research, forecasting and land use analysis, and in the use of statistical packages, knowledge in analytical and visualisation software such as Alteryx, ArcGIS, FME and Power BI and a degree qualification in economics, property, planning, or related discipline (essential).

This is a great opportunity for a senior professional to join a friendly, dedicated and highly regarded team, and be a key contributor in supporting DPHI in the delivery of key outcomes for the communities of NSW.
