The Administrative Assistant for the Engineering Department is responsible for the daily administrative duties within Engineering.
A minimum of 1-2 year’s administrative experience in a hotel setting is preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responding to guest requests for Engineering services.
- Scheduling contractor visits
- Creating purchase orders
- Liaising with Accounting Department to ensure invoices are paid in a timely matter
- Supporting the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering in the Hotel Safe & Sound program to ensure hotel safety compliance
- Updating records and inspection documents
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The incumbent for the position must posses the following attributes:
- Strong organization skills (critical)
- Problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Exceptional organization and record maintenance skills
- HotSOS experience preferred
- Adaco Purchasing Systems experience preferred
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Basic Math skills, Computerized Maintenance Management such as HOTSOS or equivalent.
- Familiar with Fire life safety would be a plus.
