We are looking for a Director of Sales to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, set to open in Spring 2025.
Surrounded by natural beauty, the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca spreads over 3 hectares of landscaped cliff tops and gardens cascading down to the sea, where it offers unique access to two coves surrounded by crystalline waters. The property is ideally located within Calvià, one of the most exclusive municipalities of the island, and close to key attractions such as the Portals port, the historical landmarks of the capital Palma de Mallorca, and the international airport.
Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca will feature 131 guestrooms, including 44 suites and nine bungalows located just a few steps from the waterfront. The spacious accommodation will provide full or partial sea views, outdoor terraces or balconies, some of which offer private panoramic plunge pools. A comprehensive Spa at Mandarin Oriental will offer the Group’s signature wellness therapies and beauty treatments, with a focus on local nature-inspired programmes. The spa includes an indoor swimming pool, while three outdoor pools are located across the resort. Guests will also have access to a wide range of water-sports as well as a comprehensive Children’s Club.
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the overall Hotel sales from the assigned territory. To maximize revenue development from new and existing Agencies, 3rd Party, and direct clients from assigned territory.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for MOHG to achieve revenue goals from Europe and UK
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients across the continent.
- Set clear targets for each market, monitor, and implement sales strategies, always collaborating and communicating with MO teams within assigned territory.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with hotel sales, marketing, and operational teams to ensure a unified approach to brand representation and revenue generation.
- Represent our brand at key industry events, enhancing visibility and strengthening our market position.
- Deliver regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
- Uphold the highest standards of brand integrity and service excellence in all endeavors.
What are we looking for?
- Degree in business, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven sales experience in the luxury lifestyle hospitality industry, including leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of the luxury hotel market dynamics in Europe and UK with a network in luxury travel and hospitality.
- Proven track record of success in revenue generation in Europe and UK
- Exceptional, communication, negotiation skills and ability to close business
- Have a passion for innovation, luxury, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Pre-existing skills in some of hotel sales systems desirable. (PMS, Salesforce and Hotelligence).
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules
- A passion for sales and target-based performance.
- Flexibility to travel internationally and host evening FAM trips
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A willingness to travel extensively.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
