Position Summary: The student who fills this position will be assisting a Sociology faculty member, Dr. Brianna Turgeon, with a research project. We are looking for a student or students with interest in learning about the social science research process. This semester, the position will involve transcribing and coding research interviews conducted with Harry Potter fans and former fans to understand their identity and behavior change in the wake of J.K. Rowling's transphobic social media posts. Getting involved with the project also comes with future opportunities to work on the project for a combination of paid positions and academic credit during future semesters.
