Your role:

This role will be responsible for preparing Kinship comprehensive assessments and providing support to kinship placements within the Kinship Care First Supports program whilst working as part of the wider home based care team. You will assess and provide family services support to newly established carers and occasionally children and young people to promote stability, safety and developmental needs.

 

Make Your Mark:

  • Assessment writing (First Supports)
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Understand how intergenerational trauma can affect Kinship carers
  • Provide written assessments of Kinship Placements for Child Protection
  • Identify strengths and vulnerabilities of placements, work collaboratively with carers to achieve set goals
  • Liaise and make referrals with and to other professionals
  • Information and advice to carers

 

Make it Work:

  • You get a salary starting at around $100,776 plus super at full time hours.
  • Pro rata to 30.4 hours per week. 
  • Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
  • SCHCADS award level 5. Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
