We are hiring a Development Manager to support the growth of UNSW’s fundraising program. This is a great opportunity drive significant social impact in areas such as human rights, education, First Nations priorities and entrepreneurship. Reporting to the Head of Development, you will build and manage a personal portfolio of around 100 major gifts prospects to raise funds in partnership with the Faculties of Art, Design & Architecture, Law & Justice, and the School of Business.
You will be joining an established fundraising team, passionate about working with others to make a difference. While this role currently has no direct reports, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in major giving fundraising and securing high net worth gifts
- Significant relationship management and high interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to navigate complexity with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- A passion for fundraising and making a difference
- Resilient, confident, collaborative and proactive with high emotional intelligence
- Experience writing proposals and achieving targets
- An engaging storyteller through various channels
