  • Remuneration: Level 7 $113,926 - $123,302 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

Why Your Role Matters:

As Team Leader, Case Review, you will play a key role in ensuring fair, consistent, and compassionate outcomes for students seeking special consideration and fee remission. You’ll oversee the day-to-day efficiency of the Case Review team, guide complex case matters, and help strengthen processes that support students across diverse backgrounds. Working closely with the Manager, Case Review, you’ll contribute to a student-centred service built on compliance, integrity, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational effectiveness and workflow management across the Case Review team, supporting a team of Case Review Officers and Administrators during peak and steady-state periods.
  • Manage complex special consideration and fee remission applications and appeals, ensuring accuracy, fairness and adherence to legislation, UNSW policies, and service level agreements.
  • Monitor, track and report on application progress; provide regular data, insights, and recommendations for improving processes and policy.
  • Assess risks, troubleshoot issues and recommend enhancements for the special consideration portal, CRM and related systems.
  • Build strong relationships with academic and professional staff to support consistent, compliant and student-focused outcomes.
