- Remuneration: $108,021 base pro rata, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading

Details of the role
The Project Officer will provide overall coordination of a new research project that will work with infectious disease notifications, and other health and social data. The Project Officer will also play a key role in providing practical and efficient project coordination for project investigators, partner organisations and key stakeholders. The role will provide administrative and research support, and facilitate reporting, communications, and internal and external relationships.
The role reports to Group Leader, Surveillance and Evaluation Research Program, and has no direct reports.
Some key skills required:
- A relevant university degree with subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of logistical and administrative support in a similar role within an academic, medical or research environment.
- Knowledge of research protocols and the project life cycle, including the development of project objectives, plans and related documentation.
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal communications skills to initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
