Acts as a liaison between New Ventures and Universal Creative. Supports cross-functional teams and ensures comprehensive oversight of the design, construction, build-out, and operational transition of all New Ventures initiatives, ensuring technical requirements are fully integrated. Manages the integration of New Ventures team members into new park experiences. Manages administrative functions and compliance efforts tied to the technical scope of New Ventures projects. Ensures all responsibilities are compliant with ASTM F-24 guidelines and original manufacturer specifications. Leads the review and approval of DCN packages for New Ventures deployments, with a specialized focus on safety-critical items. Facilitates the hiring and training of new employees in support of New Ventures initiatives. Oversees the implementation of warranty contracts for all New Ventures projects. Serves as the responsible party and signer for the Close-Out process of all ride and show contracts related to New Ventures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a liaison between New Ventures and Universal Creative. Provides project management support of specific work coordinated through New Ventures department. Provides documentation review and assurance of maintenance requirements for new attractions. Assist in the oversight of attraction construction, facility infrastructure, and opening of new attractions, ensuring a smooth transition to the operational teams.
  • Assist with the building of labor and non-labor budget requirements, providing input for staffing needs for all Technical departments. Manages the Tech Services implementation plan as written during the planning phase of the project. Manages on-boarding process of new technicians ensuring safety and attraction equipment training requirements are met. Maintains budget by balancing routine, project, and repair costs within allotted budget. Requests expense and capital project funding for work that is needed in area of responsibility to maintain capital assets. Responsible for assuring the new attractions and follow ASTM and manufacturing requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the team is properly supported to ensure positive results with employee satisfaction with the company and the management team that supports the front-line staff. Oversees all major modifications to the attraction through opening of the attraction, ensuring all Engineering modifications are properly documented and communicated. Manages all labor administratively including performance evaluations, CMMS entry and training compliance.
  • Responsible for developing, administering, updating, and maintaining a comprehensive preventive/ predictive maintenance (PM) program and training using information provided by Universal Creative, Project Vendors. Responsible for the implementation of standard operating procedures and safety procedures for new attractions.
  • Responsible for the development and standardization programs which influence new construction and equipment purchases including materials, equipment, and spare parts. Ensures proper spare parts are available for use so no attraction downtime is incurred from not having proper spare parts. Responsible for the Close out/Warranty process.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Performs some travel obligation as necessary to support the new attraction project.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience in theme park operations, focused on safe and compliant system performance.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage safety and regulatory compliance programs, including F-24 fire/life safety documentation. Skilled in project execution using Smartsheet, SharePoint, and PMWeb.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, leveraging data to support safety, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Effective at solving technical and operational challenges through cross-functional collaboration.

 EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 8+ years theme park maintenance experience required, with 5+ years’ supervisory experience included. 5+ years theme park project management experience required. Technical Services is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
