JOB SUMMARY:
Completes data entry related to product flow and assortment placement strategy per location and at the discretion of Field Merchandiser. Completes and maintains location maps and sku-to-fixture updates per Field Merchandiser regarding new product development, seasonal Bubble planning sessions, Initiative sheet changes, Assortment plans, and Buy plans. Develops and updates weekly reports (i.e. revenue, per cap, penetration, COG’s margin, top/bottom, transfers, and parameter reports). Attends and participates in Special Event set up, location floor sets, resets and refresh as requested.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Auto Replenishment and Systems Management
- Daily check and run JDA auto replenishment and sales posting information.
- Review each location auto generated transfer for new items or returning out of stock items, review information with Field Merchandiser of direct responsibility.
- Manage the manual transfer submission process
- Develop and maintain the shipment schedules and delivery days per merchandise location.
- Adjust location parameter levels as required per Merchandiser and field management discretion
- Planning
- Create and maintain location maps electronically using graphic software per the Field Merchandiser directives
- Maintain the development and building of logical layouts of sku placement in stores with Field Merchandiser directives.
- Write and develop formulas in EXCEL to record, document and create macros and programs for reporting purposes in VBA
- Set up, run and distribute reports on weekly basis per merchandiser and management directives
- Reports to Field Merchandiser on incoming program receipts per new program sets.
- Reporting
- Develop, understand, and manage reporting by adapting the systems, writing code to specifications, and maintaining tables, queries and reports on different database systems. i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, AS400, JDA and UO Merchandise Data Warehouse
- Consistently write, translate and manipulate software programs and application dependent on needs and specifications – Visual Basic, AS400, SQL Server, and MMS.
- Weekly development of park wide financial results per department - revenue, percap, penetration, COG’s, GM $, and Average Retail.
- Weekly development of park wide financial results regarding top 10 skus, top 10 styles, product initiative ranking, Express pass location sales, seasonal product, In-park program results, character product results, total candy sales per category.
- Development of the park wide weekly Out of Stock report, Product at Risk report; location specific Top/Bottom Sku report, Parameter report update file.
- Explore within the UO systems additional reporting options and project reporting maintenance
- Field Work
- Participate in seasonal change out location floor sets, new program sets, special event sets, location refresh sets per Field Merchandiser directive and request.
- Scheduled as Special Event coverage with Field Merchandiser team. Events include but are not limited to Mardi Gras, Grad Bash, RTU, HHN, NYE, Macy’s, Citywalk Special Events and Spring Break/Summer (peak needs) location shifts.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Technical school, Associate’s degree (AA), or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Master’s degree is not required.
- Other: Military classes or equivalent training will be considered.
- High school degree or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of working knowledge of inventory systems and processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience inclusive of:
- Visual Basic for Applications
- Structured Query Language
- Task Scripting
- Understanding of AS400 systems
- Microsoft Excel, Access Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 2003
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Demonstrated proficiency with JDA, Merchandise Data Warehouse, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and MMS
- Proficient understanding coding methods and best practices
- Relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server and working understanding of platforms such as Windows and AS400
- Able to communicate effectively and collaborate with non-technical staff and members of the operational team
- Demonstrate hands on experience developing program test cases and plans
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
- Knowledgeable of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to conduct research into software related systems, products, process in order to iron out issues and gain working status on problems.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressured environment with a varying work load.
