JOB SUMMARY: The Administrator, Legal Administration - Insurance, serves the Universal Creative Legal Department’s centralized insurance resource. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies on insurance requirements related to Universal Creative projects, including validating insurance coverage, reviewing and revising contract language consistent with company policies, supporting the administration of company-provided insurance programs, utilizing technology tools to track compliance, supporting administration of insurance claims, and providing overall guidance.
This role will work in conjunction with other Legal, Risk Management, and Finance Departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates, develops, and administers process(es) for identifying and tracking contractual insurance documents specific to the scope and project parameters consistent with agreement and company requirements. Identify and utilize technology tools to support process administration.
- Draft, review, and amend insurance requirements and language utilized by the Universal Creative Legal Department for consistency with company policies, including evaluating, identifying, and mitigating risk related to project parameters and agreement requirements. Escalate non-conforming coverage to applicable reviewers and work with company Risk Management departments in evaluation of such coverage.
- Verifies insurance coverage requirements specific to scope and project parameters consistent with agreement and company requirements. Log and archive insurance documents within division systems and repositories. Assist with questionnaires and inquiries for company-provided insurance policies.
- Supports Director, Legal & Business Affairs in insurance claims administration and resolution. Fosters positive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively documents and ensures compliance of contractual obligations and company policies and procedures/internal controls are followed in all transactions related to this role. Create and implement of insurance training materials and presentations including on-demand modules, live sessions and reference documentation.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years’ experience technical writing, insurance, or contract experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Insurance and contract related experience highly desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), DocuSign, SmartSheet, and SharePoint.
