UD’s College of Engineering is the destination for an extraordinary education, transformational research and engaged service to the State of Delaware and the nation. 

Role Description:

The College of Engineering communications team is seeking a student intern with strong writing and editing skills to support storytelling and recruitment efforts. This role focuses on highlighting the experiences and accomplishments of UD’s engineering and computing students. 

Responsibilities include:

• Writing feature stories and student spotlights.

• Creating content for websites, newsletters copy and social media posts.

• Supporting student recruitment campaigns through written materials.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills.

• Experience writing for digital platforms.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Interest in technology, engineering or student life storytelling.

• Science writing experience is a plus, but not required.

• Work-study eligible students encouraged to apply. 

This part-time position (up to 20 hours/week) may be hybrid on supervisor approval. This position reports to the Communications Director. Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and writing sample, nonfiction preferred.
