Role Description:

Those passionate about education and seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young minds are encouraged to apply for a part-time position at The College School (TCS). Located on the children's campus at UD, TCS serves students in grades 1-8 and is a part of the College of Education and Human Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

As the After School Program Instructor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring the students who are enrolled in the after-school program. This would include as few as 2 students and as many as 8 students. Generally, there are 5 or 6 students in the program.
  • Supervising a Brief Recess: Oversee a short recess period on the playground when weather permits, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for students.

  • Homework Assistance: Provide guidance and support to students as they work on their homework assignments, encouraging a proactive and productive approach to learning.

  • Engaging Activities: Design and lead a variety of engaging activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and/or personal growth. You would have the freedom to tailor these activities to your expertise and the interests of the students. Necessary materials and resources will be supplied.
