Role Description:
The department of Accounting and MIS is seeking a responsible, motivated undergraduate Workstudy student to assist with office coverage. The ideal candidate would be friendly and approachable, have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. An interest in supporting faculty and contributing to a positive departmental culture is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Staff the front office during assigned hours, ensuring a professional and friendly environment.
- Greeting visitors, students, and faculty with a positive attitude and assist with general inquiries.
- Direct questions or concerns to the appropriate faculty or staff member when necessary.
- Assist faculty with copying, scanning, and basic clerical tasks.
- Run reports and assist with data entry or document preparation as requested by the Chairperson.
- Maintain office organization, including restocking supplies and keeping common areas tidy.
- Support departmental events or projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for the institution’s work study program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets).
- Willingness to learn new systems and office procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
