About Community Standards & Conflict Resolution:
Through fair, equitable, and restorative processes, Community Standards & Conflict Resolution encourage students to explore how decisions impact themselves and others. CSCR educates the UD community on standards of behavior, conflict resolution, and commitment to personal and shared accountability.
CSCR is formally the Office for Student Conduct. We are expanding our work to provide a variety of resolution options in which students feel comfortable and empowered to be a part of the process; students will have agency in the process and outcome of the process. We are providing proactive education and resources to allow students to resolve conflict before it could become a conduct issue. For more information visit:

Role Description:
Under the direction of Community Standards & Conflict Resolution (CSCR), the Office Assistant plays a critical role in helping CSCR in our daily functions and needs of the campus. Representing CSCR, the Office Assistant is responsible for delivering the highest quality customer service to UD students, university community members, and visitors. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone with clear diction. The ideal candidate should be personable, resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, and a team player able to learn on the job and stay abreast of routine process and procedure updates .The individual must be a self-starter and be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Punctuality and good attendance are essential.
Main Responsibilities:
• Attend scheduled 1:1 with supervisor and other meetings as necessary
• Greet, assist, and/or direct incoming visitors to the office
• Answer and handle incoming telephone inquiries
• Input information from CSCR seminars into database
• Provide support to staff members, as requested (projects, research, event preparation, etc.)
• Ensure seminar materials are available for affiliates weekly. Update materials when necessary
• Assist in entering information into CSCR database, scanning, and filing
• Additional duties as assigned

• Dress in business casual attire
• Consideration for this position will be given to all qualified applicants. Ideal candidates will have daytime availability.

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work as part of a team (in-person and remotely)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be personable, resourceful, organized, detail oriented
• Ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to address their concerns with sensitivity
• Applicants should be current first, second or third year students
• Able to provide availability for scheduling when applying for position. Preferred scheduled will be normal business hours on weekdays.
