Basic Function:

Kent State University at East Liverpool campus continually seeks a qualified pool of Adjunct OTA (Occupational Therapy Assistant Program)

Active teaching and demonstration of techniques

Adjunct faculty are expected to:

• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
• Prepare and deliver learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations.
• Maintain and submit student grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
• Perform student learning outcome assessment for accreditation purposes.
• Be available to students for office hours and out of classroom academic support.
• Be sensitive to the needs of a diverse population.
• May be asked to attend periodic meetings relative to teaching duties and training and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• COTA with a BS in related field.  OTR with Bachelor degree.

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

• Previous teaching experience preferred.   Field mental health and adult physical conditions preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
