Assistant Field Hockey Coach

Salary:

 $35,568 - $42,500

Basic Function:

Assist in the coaching and administration of a successful Division I intercollegiate Field Hockey program. Reports to Head Field Hockey Coach.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting in all aspects of field hockey program including:
Monitoring of student-athletic academic progress.
Scouting.
Practice and game coaching.
Travel coordination.
Recruitment of quality student-athletes.

Ensure compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference, University, and Intercollegiate Athletics rules and regulations.

Work compatibly and cooperatively with staff and personnel in Intercollegiate Athletics.

May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Administration, or related field and three months of experience coaching field hockey. Or a combination of education and coaching and playing experience at the professional or collegiate level to equal four years.

License/Certification:

Knowledge Of:

National Collegiate Athletics Association and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations

Skill In:

Training or instructing student athletes; interpersonal communication

Ability To:

Analyze situations and develop solutions
Travel
Work non-traditional hours

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

Played as a Goalkeeper or has worked with Goalkeepers
